Anesco offers homeowners all-in-one energy system

Renewable developer Anesco has announced the launch of a new business offering domestic customers a “complete home energy system”.

Anesco at Home combines technologies such as solar panels, heat pumps, batteries and electric vehicle chargers with an energy tariff auto-switching service and maintenance plan.

The company already carries out domestic installations on behalf of its clients, which include local authorities and housing associations, but this is the first time it has directly targeted homeowners.

“We are expanding into the domestic market to meet the growing appetite among consumers for smart energy management and renewable technologies that will support energy self-sufficiency and improve the carbon footprint,” said Anesco executive chair Steve Shine.

He added: “Using solar panels to generate clean electricity and maximising its benefit through the use of a home battery, supplemented further by making a switch to renewable heat, is a route to low carbon living.

“It’s no surprise that we are already seeing interest among those with existing solar panels and electric vehicles, as our system helps close the loop, maximising the benefits and returns.”

Since its formation in 2010, Anesco has developed more than 100 solar farms, including the first in the UK to be built without subsidies. It now manages nearly 1GW of renewable capacity and also operates a large battery storage portfolio, which is set to exceed 380MW by 2020.
