Anglian Water was victorious in four categories at the Water Industry Awards 2023, including company of the year.
The group also triumphed in the diversity & inclusion initiative and groundbreaker awards as well as seeing its partnership with WaterAid and Nepal Water Supply Corporation recognised.
United Utilities and Seven Trent also took home more than one award, while Wave was chosen as water retailer of the year.
The trophies were handed out on Thursday (29 June) at Birmingham’s The Vox.
The ceremony, which celebrates the achievements of teams and individuals across the water sector and its supply chain, saw Justine Leadbetter of the Water Research Centre named rising star.
Utility Week editor James Wallin, who was chair of the judges, said: “We are pleased to be able to recognise the hard work and innovation of individuals and teams across the water sector. What shone through from the entries was the dedication to deliver for customers, protect the environment and future proof our water infrastructure.
“Customers, politicians and regulators have made their expectations of water companies very clear and our winners highlight the progress that is being made across the sector.
“Congratulations to everyone who took home a trophy and our shortlisted entries.”
