Anglian Water Business has launched an energy and water efficiency partnership with SaveMoneyCutCarbon as the water company steps up its preparations for retail competition in 2017.
The partnership will see the resource efficiency company provide a portal on the Anglian Water Business website offering customers special rates on energy and water saving products.
Anglian Water will also train its call centre staff and account managers to explain how the partnership can help its business customers save money.
It added that the partnership will “position the business well to compete in the deregulated water market”.
Anglian Water Business managing director Bob Wilson said: “We want to make it easy for our business customers to make lasting savings on their energy and water bills by investing in efficiency.
“This new partnership gives them real business benefits – special rates on proven products and access to the hands-on expertise of a full service energy efficiency company.”
Wilson also said the sales pitch is that “achieving a 20 per cent reduction in water use is better than a 2 per cent reduction in tariff”.
SaveMoneyCutCarbon chief executive Mark Sait said: “Many organisations don’t realise that they can save thousands of pounds each year by taking simple measures to cut energy and water use which often pay for themselves within two years, and so we’re pleased to support Anglian Water Business’s efforts to help their business and industrial customers.”
