Four-year deal aims to cut water and energy use
Anglian Water Business has won a contract to supply water retail services to luxury Scottish spa hotel Cameron House.
The four-year deal was brokered by third party intermediary, Inprova Energy, and has enabled Cameron House to secure an improved rate for water and wastewater supply and services.
The hotel – located on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland – said it wants to meet its environmental goals and reduce water consumption.
AWB will carry out a water efficiency audit at the beginning of the contract. This will enable Cameron House to identify areas of water wastage, and work with the retailer to implement improvements that will reduce water use, energy use and operational costs.
The water retailer will also install automatic meter reading devices, to allow real-time detailed monitoring of water use across the hotel’s luxury facilities.
AWB said automated meter reads will improve visibility of water use and billing accuracy, while average daily consumption reviews will help Cameron House to identify usage trends and plan more effectively.
Cameron House resorts director Andy Roger said: “Switching to Anglian Water Business will enable us to drive continuous improvement in the way we use water across our facilities to cut waste and make financial savings without compromising on the outstanding levels of comfort and service we offer to guests.”
Last week, AWB announced a three-year contract to supply water retail services to 455 Holland and Barrett sites, increasing to 650 locations over the contract term. And last month, it was appointed to provide water retail services to 180 sites belonging to the UK’s largest private gym operator – Pure Gym. The three-year contract involves all of the company’s 180 sites across England and Scotland, and will also include any new sites added to the portfolio during that period.
Anglian Water Business supplies more than 160,000 businesses and public sector bodies across the UK. In March, the company announced a joint venture agreement with NWG Business, to create a new water retailer – Wave. The joint venture was approved by the Competition and Markets Authority earlier this month.
