Anglian Water has confirmed it will not be implementing a hosepipe ban this year, following record rainfall. The company explained that the last 18 months have been the wettest on record and that with 10 named storms since last autumn, both groundwater and reservoir levels are in a “tip-top position for the year ahead”. Reservoirs across the region, it added, are over 90% full on average.
