Two companies have paid £6 million into the energy redress fund after they inadvertently submitted misleading data to National Grid Electricity System Operator (ESO). Between March 2019 and September 2020, ESB Independent Generation Trading and Carrington Power regularly submitted misleading data about the minimum amount of energy the Carrington plant could supply.
Ovo Energy has launched its flat-rate ‘type of use’ electric vehicle (EV) tariff to the wider market following a successful trial earlier this year. In what it claims is an industry first, the company’s new Ovo Drive + Anytime product splits customers’ home energy from that used for EV charging and offers separate rates.
