The government has appointed Jane Toogood as the UK’s first Hydrogen Champion, as it welcomes funding applications for fledgling green hydrogen projects. The government is aiming to provide backing to projects representing a total of 250MW of low-carbon hydrogen production in the first allocation round this year.
