Northumbrian Water's Bin the Wipe campaign is set to be rolled out nationwide this year after yielding results that saw wet wipe blockages halved after engaging with householders and communities in key areas. Repeat visits with householders showed sustained change in flushing habits to protect pipes, sewers and ultimately the environment. The campaign will be rolled out across the country by Water UK supported by MP Fleur Anderson's campaign to ban plastic in wipes.
