Ofwat chief executive David Black has told delegates at the Utility Week Forum he was surprised at the lack of visibility of water company executives during the summer when sewage pollution was damaging the sector's reputation. Black questioned whether companies and their shareholders have grasped the severity of public anger and urged water bosses to talk more openly about how they are working to tackle the problem.
