Bluefield Solar Income Fund said this week that it will invest £5.7 million in extending its 15MW Norfolk solar project by a further 5.2MW.

The fund said in a statement that the development is expected to qualify for 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) under the government’s subsidy regime and will be funded by part of the £123 million raised in the placing program which closed 13 November.

The acquisition is the twenty fifth made by the fund, Bluefield said.

In September the fund reported that it had increased its portfolio by 128MW over year following ten solar farm acquisitions worth £147 million.
