British Gas has announced it will be taking on 1,000 new apprentices in a nationwide recruitment drive.
The energy supplier will take on the first 750 apprentices over the next twelve months, with the remainder joining the following year.
The apprentices will take on ‘Smart Energy Expert’ roles within the company in advance of the 2014 national roll-out of smart meters.
