Business Stream has secured a three-year contract extension to supply water and wastewater services to Fettes College in Edinburgh.

The independent school has been working with the water retailer since the water market opened in Scotland in 2008.

The new agreement includes the consolidation of all water meters on the school’s estate and the introduction of automated meter readers to help track water use.

Peter Worlledge, bursar, Fettes College, said: “We have always valued the level of expertise and support provided by Business Stream. We are looking forward to maintaining our partnership with the retailer over the next three years, as we look to generate further environmental efficiencies.”

James Cardwell-Moore, commercial director at Business Stream (pictured), added: “We are delighted that Fettes College has chosen to renew its partnership with us. We always strive to deliver a seamless customer experience and to retain one of the UK’s leading schools, Fettes College, for over a decade is an encouraging indicator that we are serving our customers well.”

The water retailer said their customers have saved more than £160 million on water bills since the non-domestic market opened to competition in Scotland.

Business Stream expanded its operation when the English water market opened in April 2017.

In November last year, Business Stream secured a national contract through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) framework, potentially worth £10.6 million.
