Capping prices for all businesses is ‘waste of taxpayers’ money’

The government’s support package for non-domestic energy customers has been criticised as a “waste of taxpayers’ money” by the chair of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Committee. Labour MP Darren Jones was speaking following the announcement that non-domestic energy customers will see unit rates for electricity and gas slashed over the next six months.
