Thames Water CEO Sarah Bentley resigns

Thames Water's chief executive Sarah Bentley has stepped down with immediate effect after three years in the role. Cathryn Ross and Alastair Cochran will jointly assume the interim role of chief executive while the board finds a permanent replacement.

Thames seeks debt collectors

Thames Water will pay external debt collectors up to £17.5 million over the next three years to recoup unpaid customer bills. That equates to almost half of the company's current bad debt level, which stands at £36 million.
