The energy debt dam will burst
With no sign yet of further government support for energy consumers through what is expected to be a difficult winter, there are fears debts are spiralling out of control. Utilita Energy estimates debts to be “well in excess of £1 billion”. Writing for Utility Week the company’s chair Derek Lickorish warns the “dam will burst” on energy debt if a solution is not found soon.
