Government offers £100m loan to relieve suppliers from rising CfD costs
The government is consulting on plans to delay an increase in suppliers’ Contracts for Difference charges with the help of a £100 million loan to the Low Carbon Contracts Company. The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy said the loan would relieve suppliers’ from an unexcepted rise in payments resulting from the coronavirus lockdown and give them time to adjust.
