Mild weather has cut £260m from price freeze cost
The government is thought to have saved around £260 million on the cost of the Energy Price Guarantee because of the abnormally mild weather in October. This is according to modelling by BFY Group, who told Utility Week this highlighted the importance of the government actively promoting energy efficiency and demand reduction.
