Consumer group Citizens Advice has appointed Victoria MacGregor as its new director of energy.
She will be responsible for commissioning new research into the market, publishing data on energy suppliers’ performance and leading the group’s energy policy work for consumers.
MacGregor previously spent 12 years at EDF Energy as head of public affairs before her role as chief executive of Citizens Advice Dacorum in Hertfordshire.
MacGregor said: “Having seen day to day the real difference Citizens Advice makes, this role is a real opportunity to bring my specialist stakeholder and energy experience to bear in support of the incredibly valuable work Citizens Advice does representing and protecting energy consumers.”
Citizens Advice director of policy and advocacy James Plunkett said: “I’m delighted to welcome Victoria as our new director of energy. She brings both an extensive knowledge of the energy industry, together with an in-depth understanding of the Citizens Advice service and the key issues facing energy customers.”
MacGregor will take up the role on Monday 4 July.
