The queue to connect to the power grid could reach 800GW by the end of 2024 after 49GW of projects joined the transmission queue in January alone. The figures were released in response to Ofgem’s recent decision to allow National Grid to extend the deadlines for providing full offers to customers as part of the temporary two-step connections process it launched in March last year.
