Social energy tariff could cost up to £9.4bn each year
Age UK is calling on the government to introduce a social energy tariff which provides those most in need with a 50% discount on their bills. A new report by the charity estimates that the cost of introducing such a tariff would be between £5.6 billion and £9.4 billion.
