A sewage spill that closed more than 20 Kent beaches in early June has become the subject of an inquiry by Thanet District Council.
Representatives of Southern Water, the Environment Agency and the council are to give evidence on handling of the incident, along with residents and business owners affected by the pollution.
Beaches were closed for nearly two weeks from 30 May as heavy rain and technical problems led to a series of sewage overflows from Southern Water’s Foreness Point pumping station.
