The next price review may need to demonstrate a firmer regulatory approach to address some sector challenges, according to the former chair of Ofwat. Speaking to the House of Lords Industry and Regulators Committee, Jonson Cox also denied Ofwat had prioritised minimising bills over investment and assured the committee no public money would be needed to fund plans to reduce sewage discharges from storm overflows.
