DCC network ‘clearly not up to scratch’

The network underpinning smart meters has been described as “clearly not up to scratch” by one industry boss who believes “there’s a bit of a scandal in the offing” considering the amount of money spent on it. Utilita chief Bill Bullen was speaking following a recent Data Communications Company network outage which he said resulted in prepayment meter customers being unable to top up.
