The Department of Energy and Climate Change (Decc) has launched a £5million fund to help collective switching schemes get off the ground.
Secretary of State Ed Davey has launched the initiative to encourage the development of innovative collective switching schemes for local authorities and the third sector. The fund will also be available to projects in Scotland, as well as England and Wales.
Davey said: “I particularly want to see schemes focussed on using collective purchasing to help the most vulnerable households.”
