Multiple small scale desalination plants will be operational in South West Water's region from as early as next year as part of plans to bolster water supply resources in the area, the group's chief executive Susan Davy has told Utility Week. She also revealed that the conversion of a disused claypit for water storage will be complete within days, which will help to refill the country's most-depleted reservoir.
