Donald Trump has been denied the chance to block an offshore windfarm visible from his Aberdeenshire golf resort.
The billionaire businessman applied for a judicial review of Scottish ministers’ decision to grant planning approval to the £230 million European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre.
Trump’s lawyers argued ministers were biased, had no power to grant consent and were unreasonable in failing to hold a public inquiry into the application.
Lord Doherty threw out the petition.
It is the latest instalment in a long-running campaign by Trump against the planned 11-turbine, 100MW array, which he claims will spoil the view.
