Drax has stated its intention to cease generation from its last two coal units from March 2021, although they will remain available until September 2022 in line with its existing Capacity Market agreements. The announcement follows its failure to secure contracts for either unit in the recent T-3 capacity auction and was made as part of its full-year results for 2019.
