EDF denies allegations over Chinese role in Hinkley construction

EDF has denied that workers from the China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) – it’s financial partner for Hinkley Point C – are playing a greater role in the construction of the nuclear power station that was originally presented to the public. Responding to an investigation in the Sunday Telegraph, the company also disputed allegations that senior engineers from CGN had suggested lifting a 270-tonne concrete dome into place above the heads of more than 5,000 workers.
