A monthly report that plots how many smart meters have been installed across the UK has been launched.
The report by ElectraLink shows monthly figures of how many smart meters have been installed as reported across the data transfer service (DTS) in each distribution network operator (DNO) area. It also provides year-to-date figures for the number of electricity smart meters that have been fitted.
UK Power Networks, in the east England area, have had the highest August installs, with 3,546 electricity smart meters fitted, while the same area also has the highest total for the year-to-date, with 32,663.
The worst performing area was North Scotland, with only 170 new meters in August and a year-to-date total of 1,794.
