Severn Trent Water has announced the appointment of Emma Fitzgerald to the board as executive director with effect from 1 April 2016.
Fitzgerald joined Severn Trent in July 2015 as managing director of wholesale operations. She was previously chief executive of gas distribution at National Grid.
Prior to joining National Grid, she pursued a 20-year career with Royal Dutch Shell where she held a variety of technical, strategic and general management positions based in Asia and Europe.
Commenting upon the appointment, Severn Trent chairman Andrew Duff said: “I am delighted to welcome Emma to the board. Her expertise will bring a huge amount of value in ensuring the delivery of the commitments we have made in our business plan.”
