With October’s record price cap increase rapidly approaching, Scottish Power’s retail chief Andrew Ward believes the sector is now “way beyond” the 11th hour. Despite this, he still believes the government can implement a deficit fund tariff in time for the price rise, but only if it acts within the next few days. In an interview with Utility Week, Ward also gives his thoughts on recent public support for the renationalisation of energy and the example provided by Bulb's entry into the special administration regime.
