Eon hosts a week-long series of smart meter events

Eon has hosted a week-long series of events at its Open House store in Nottingham as part of a smart metering awareness campaign.

The energy company provided experts on smart meters who gave our advice and information on smart meters, as well as energy saving tips.

The activity is part of a series of smart metering events that will be taking place in and around Nottingham until the end of October.

Alison Gibson, senior community relations officer at Eon, said: “The Smart Communities event at Open House has been a great success, providing information and advice to Nottingham residents on energy efficiency and smart meters, helping people to ensure they use no more energy than they need to.”

Eon is currently offering smart meters for free to eligible local customers in Nottingham, and has committed to install more than one million smart meters by the end of 2015.
