Flint appointed to head Committee on Fuel Poverty

Former shadow energy and climate change secretary of state Caroline Flint has been appointed to head the Committee on Fuel Poverty - the government's advisor on the efficacy of its policies to tackle fuel poverty. She will replace David Blakemore who has chaired the body since its foundation in 2016 and was meant to leave in November last year but stayed on while a replacement was found.
