Thames tributaries have seven times the flow volume they did at the start of April, according to Thames Water's latest figures.
Seven rivers that had slowed to a trickle and were used by the water company to illustrate the importance of saving water are now at well above average levels.
The aquifers underlying four out of the seven are still below normal levels, however, despite a boost from record rainfall in April and June.
Richard Aylard, sustainability director for Thames Water, said: “The unbelievably wet spring has caused all sorts of problems, especially for people suffering from flooding, but it has also topped up our rivers and safeguarded our 9m customers’ water supplies for the summer and autumn.
“After such a sharp reminder about the unpredictability of the weather we are of course still asking everyone to use water wisely.”
