The Institute of Customer Service (ICS) has ranked GDF Suez Energy UK as the highest scoring energy company against its latest UK customer satisfaction index (UKCSI).
GDF’s customers gave the business supplier top scores for the friendliness and helpfulness of its staff, the quality and efficiency of its service and the ease of getting in touch.
GDF Suez Energy UK customer service manager Lindsay Crowther said: “This result reflects all the work we’ve been doing to equip our people with the skills and resources to deliver a market-leading customer experience.
“Our aim is to continue to innovate and enhance the way we work to ensure we uphold our ServiceMark accreditation and keep improving our service standards.”
Last month the utility sector was revealed to still be the worst rated sector for customer service in the latest ICS UK customer satisfaction index. However it is also the sector that has made the biggest improvement over the year.
Of the 16 utility companies that received a UKCSI score in both July 2014 and July 2015, seven increased their score by more than one point but six saw their score drop by at least one point.
