Giant 13MW turbine chosen to power first two phases of Dogger Bank

SSE Renewables and Equinor have chosen an upgraded 13MW version of GE Renewable Energy’s Haliade-X turbine to power the first two phases the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm. Dogger Bank is set to become the world’s largest offshore windfarm once completed in 2026, with 3.6GW of generation capacity being built in three equally sized phases.
