Government has ‘mountain to climb’ on EV charging

The government has not “sufficiently thought through” how the charging infrastructure will expand at the pace required to keep up with its new timetable for phasing out diesel and petrol cars and vans, the Public Accounts Committee has warned in a new report. Committee chair Meg Hillier said ministers have a “mountain to climb” to make all cars and vans sold in the UK low emissions by 2030.
