Government must end ‘disjointed’ green skills support

UK100 has urged the government to “end the mess” of “disjointed” green jobs and skills support by creating a new “locally-led national strategy”. In a new report, the organisation said the current employer-led approach overlooks the important role of local authorities in coordinating efforts and cannot deliver the skills necessary to meet net zero targets at the required pace and scale.
