There has been an underwhelmed response to the government’s outline of announcements relating to the much-trailled ‘Green Day’. Thursday will see the release of the updated Energy Security Plan and the government’s response to Chris Skidmore’s Net Zero Review. There will also be announcements on ECO+, an extension of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and a plan to “rebalance” gas and electricity costs on bills. But details released so far have been branded “piecemeal, re-heated and confusing”.
