Energy efficiency installation companies claim they are being forced to lay off staff due to administrative delays bedevilling the issue of the Green Homes Grant vouchers intended to stimulate the sector. In submissions to an inquiry by the Environmental Audit Committee, one firm said it was looking at making 40 per cent of its workforce redundant.
