Haven Power appoints new COO

Haven Power has announced Jonathan Kini will take the newly created role of chief operating officer (COO) at the company.

Kini will be responsible for overseeing Haven’s business operations.

He joins from Vodafone, where he led the strategy and management of all SME business sales functions in the UK, which followed a five-year period running the customer service division of Virgin Media after heading up Virgin Mobile.

Kini said: “I am delighted to be taking on this role at Haven and to join the energised team already in place.

“Haven is well established within the energy market and I believe it’s the importance placed on customer service that has cemented this company as a key industry player.

Haven Power, as part of the Drax Group, is the UK’s largest business electricity supplier and Kini will report to long-standing chief executive, Peter Bennell who has recently had his role expanded to become chairman of Billington Bioenergy, which was acquired by Drax early last year.
