Horizon Nuclear Power has announced it plans to move into new headquarters in Gloucestershire in 2016.
The firm, which was acquired by Hitachi in 2012, plans to move to new, custom-built premises at Gloucester Business Park, creating an estimated 250 jobs at the same time.
Alan Raymant, chief operating officer of Horizon Nuclear Power, said: “Horizon is growing quickly.
“Our activity continues to ramp up and we’re developing an organisation capable of delivering large-scale, complex, infrastructure projects.
“These first-class headquarters demonstrate the commitment of Hitachi and Horizon to establishing the resources and infrastructure needed to support this exciting multi-billion pound programme.”
Horizon aims to build two 1,300MW reactors at its Wylfa site on Anglesey, while two or three reactors could be built at its second site and Oldbury, in Gloucestershire.
The designs for the UK Advanced Boiling Water Reactors are currently at the second of four stages in the government’s generic design assessment regulatory process for new reactors in the UK.
