Colin Weir, station director at EDF Energy's Hunterston B nuclear power station, has written an open letter outlining that reactor 3 needs additional technical assessment. Last month the energy giant announced that reactor 4 was due to come online after it was inspected by it and the Office for Nuclear Regulation.
