Parts of the UK will face severe water stress in future unless the water sector acts now, the Institute of Civil Engineers has said.
In a blog for Utility Week commenting on its State of the Nation report, ICE water expert Adrian Johnson warns the water sector has made slow progress on resilience.
He highlights the need for metering to increase the perceived value of water and tackle leakage, and calls on the recently formed National Water Resources Group to develop a roadmap on change.
