The shortlist for the Utility Week Stars Awards 2016 has been announced with finalists drawn from energy networks, suppliers, water companies and contractors.
Shortlisted companies were selected following a tough judging process which whittled down a record number of award entries.
All categories were heavily subscribed with especially strong entries in the innovation and rising star awards – reflecting the critical challenges utility companies face in adapting to the future and recruiting tomorrow’s talent.
Several companies have been shortlisted across multiple categories with Scotia Gas Networks in the running for seven different awards, Northumbrian Water for five awards and Electricity Northwest for three.
Recognising the essential part that contractor play in delivery utility services, there is also a strong showing from engineering and utility service providers including Morrison Utility Services, McNicholas Construction Services and Balfour Beatty.
The full shortlist is available on the Stars Awards website which can be found here: www.utilityweekstars.co.uk
The winners will be announced at a lunch time summer party on 17 June at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester. The event will offer recognition of hard work and success before industry peers and leaders as well as entertainment and a chance for teams to revel. Table bookings are now open.
