Chief executive of South West Water Chris Loughlin has been named as the next president of professional body the Institute of Water.
He will be installed as Vice President this May and take over the presidency from incumbent Nick Ellins in 2013.
Loughlin has head South West Water since August 2006 and joins 10 other directors on the board.
Ellins said: “The Institute of Water is very proud to have Chris join us as our future National President.
“He has a level of experience and a professional manner that will inspire the next generation of water professionals, and an understanding of water utility management that be respected by our senior members.”
