Judge slams Anglian’s company culture on pollution

Anglian Water has been handed a fine of £871,000 for three pollution incidents that the sentencing judge suggested were a result of the company "dragging its feet" in how it addressed infrastructure improvements, which appeared to be "endemic" to the company's culture. The three events took place in 2019 at separate wastewater treatment works but had common themes, the Environment Agency's prosecutor noted.
