The energy secretary has praised electricity networks for improved procedures in tackling the latest storms, saying they have “learnt lessons” from the fallout of Storm Arwen. While there were still 7,600 homes without power as of Tuesday evening, more than 20,000 had been reconnected over the preceding 24 hours.
