The last of 27 turbines has now been installed at the 96MW Clocaenog Forest onshore windfarm in Wales.
The project is being developed by Innogy and is located in a working forest near Denbigh managed by Natural Resources Wales.
Construction began in March 2018 and the first turbine was installed in April.
Project manager Andy Clayton said: “It’s a momentous achievement by the team. They’ve worked tirelessly, often not helped by challenging weather conditions, to ensure that the 27 turbines have been installed safely and successfully.
“Having already achieved first generation back in July, our next target is to commission all the turbines, with the aim to have the wind farm fully operational later this year.”
Innogy has created a local community fund that will be worth £19 million over the lifetime of the windfarm. An independent administrator for the scheme is expected to be announced later this autumn.
