Lib Dems: Nationalising utilities ‘pointless’ and ‘costly’

The Liberal Democrats’ election manifesto has slammed Labour’s "costly" plans to renationalise utilities, while pledging to increase expenditure on climate and environment to five per cent of total public spending. The manifesto also criticises rival parties for offering “a Dutch auction of fantasy dates” for Britain to achieve net-zero emissions.
